Another Mini of a different design...

In case you're wondering, why so many mini's? Well let me tell you. A few reasons actually...

1. My back is still a little wonky, so mini's are quick projects. 
2. I did the Pay it Forward challenge that was floating around Facebook in January (where the first 5 people to comment under that post would get something handmade by me).
3. There are a few challenges going on (Tangering Tango, Modern Mini, etc) and most of these have been practice for the real thing.

This mini, is an adaptation of the orange/green mini. This is actually an original design that I drew out and practiced it by making the orange/green mini, but once I put it up to take a picture, I loved the way I had this center flower shape on point. So I did some recalculating and came up with this block. It finishes at an 18" square. I'm really happy with the result and you'll be seeing a few more of this design over the course of the next couple weeks. This one is for someone special in Alaska, who I'm pretty sure doesn't read this blog, which is why I'm posting about it!

 And since I'm in the mood for some bright colors, here's a sneak peak at what I've got up on the mini design wall for my Modern Mini...that's it until I get the top done (also designed by me)!

p.s. no judging the color order, I'm still working on those greens and blues, those are always the hardest for me!
