While my mother-in-law was here visiting last month we collaboratively put together this quilt my youngest kiddo.
We picked out the majority of the fabrics from my stash and supplemented with a couple FQ's from my local quilt shop. We used Allison's Skipping Squares pattern. Such a cute pattern!
We got the entire quilt (twin size) cut, pieced, and basted before my
in-laws went back to Alaska. The following week I quilted it in various sized loops, but then
it sat. And sat. And sat.
Until I finally got up the energy to bind the dang thing. I bound it in
my favorite Michael Miller stripe. Such a great binding. It's now on his
bed and no longer being passed from place to place in the living room.
The fabrics are a little of everything. Aneela Hoey, Riley Blake, Sarah Jane, Denyse Schmidt, and more. The backing is the most awesome fabric ever. It's called Jellybean from Thomas Knauer for Andover fabrics.
It's adorable and I bet he loves it : ) Great finish
ReplyDeleteHi there. Thank you for visiting my blog. This quilt is beautiful. I actually finished one & the binding attempt I did was actually pathetic, but the person I gave it to was thrilled & didn't see any problems with it.
