Scout Quilt - A finish

The past couple weeks I've been participating (via Instagram) in the #finishit2013 weekly giveaways sponsored by Amanda (@acraftyfox_amanda) of West Wood Acres. She has the most fabulous selection of modern fabrics and she just moved over to a new site (instead of Etsy). Last week when I finished my Scout quilt, I didn't win the initial giveaway, but Amanda must've seen something she liked in my quilt, and picked me as a secondary winner. It felt sooo good to know that my quilt was worthy of the honor! I brought it out to California with me since I didn't have time to get pics (in the dreary Idaho weather) before I left. I've been taking care of my mom (who had surgery on Monday) and my Grandpa this week, and I'm just now getting to post these pics. It's not much prettier here and the pictures are a bit dark, but the weather is warmer, and it means a lot more to me to be able to take these pictures in my Grandpa's backyard. This pattern is called Scout by Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew. The fabrics are a mix of Cloud 9, Kate Spain, Alexander Henry, Lizzie House, and more.
