Over Memorial Day weekend I was able to complete my Sweet n' Scrappy quilt for "The Easiest Sew Along Ever" hosted by Windsor and Main. This quilt was made using scraps from a Scout Quilt I'm currently working on...I know, I'm sorry, I've been awful at keeping you posted on my WIP's lately. Anyway, since I had these awesome looking triangles left over from cutting my "feathers" for my Scout quilt, I took the little extra time and sewed them together in pairs (like HST's), and then again into rows and columns until I had that cute little center panel. Then I decided to put Allison's Sweet n' Sassy tutorial to use and made my own version of the quilt that I call Sweet n' Scrappy. That pretty paisly and floral coral pink print is from Joann's and I LOVE it. I had just enough in my stash to put the borders on and use the rest for backing.
This past week I also received my Sew Sew Modern package from Jenny (jenjebs on Flickr). Isn't that 241 Tote gorgeous! I LOVE pop of the yellow and purple against the low volume text prints! She also sent me a check book cover, some pins, and a remote holder for my couch!!! Thanks Jenny!!
Very sweet little quilty!
